Cookies’ Day Off
>Be Cookies N’ Cream guardsmare at Canterlot Maximum Security Prison
>Be enjoying your day off at a local café
>You’ve got a nice cup of tea, some tasty snacks and a good book
>”The Little Engine that Could”
>A heart griping tale of an Engine who had to climb a tall mountain even after his engines broke
>Truly an inspiring tale of optimism
>You actually knew the stallion who wrote this book
>”Hey Cookies It’s good to see you.”
>Ah speak of the pony
>Well not pony per say
>Anon was a Human, the only one of his kind
>The poor thing
“Anon, how good to see you. How are you doing?”
>”I’m fine Cookies, thanks for asking. Mind if have a seat?”
“I don’t mind at all Anon.”
>Anon takes a seat opposite to you and smiles
>You met Anon under rather… unflattering circumstances
>He was a new prisoner at your facility. That much wasn’t bad
>But he was going to be there for a month, an entire MONTH
>without parole too
>As if that wasn’t bad enough he had to be wheeled in, not walked
>His hands and legs were bound to prevent him from giving anypony an owie
>to be quite honest, you had been scared of him at first
>Ponies who would intentionally hurt somepony were extremely rare, even more so unprovoked
>But Anonymous wasn’t a pony
>Over his stay at your facility you got to know him better as you were the one assigned to watch over him
>”So, Cookies whatcha doing?”
“Oh nothing much just enjoying my day off”
>”Oh sorry, didn’t want to bother you on your day off.”
“Anonymous, if I’ve told you once I’ve told you a hundred times, you don’t bother me”
>”And I’ve told you before, it’s just an expression.”
>You both share a small chuckle
>Time seems to slow down, yet speed up as you talk away the hours with Anonymous
>As the sun sets you and Anon begin to part ways
>but not before you ask a favor of him.
“Um, Anon, could you sign my copy of “The Little Engine that Could”
>”Sure Cookie’s give it here.”
>Anon quickly scrambles for a crayon only to take out a pen
>He Scribble something in your book and waves goodbye
>As you look at what he wrote your cheeks grow warm
>”To Cookies n’ Cream, My special friend. Keep being the best mare you can be.”
>Later that night, you snuggle up to that book
>But you firmly deny that claim to anypony.
